Wessex Computing Planning

‘Somerset’s Education Technology Advisers are part of Support Services for Education’s ELIM team (e-learning and information team).  They have developed materials with schools in Somerset which are  available for others to use.  They support the development of the use of technology for learning across the curriculum, building an e-safety ethos within a school and providing training and materials for the Computing curriculum.

Funded by Teaching Schools, co-ordinated by eLIM

What is the WCP Planning?

21 Somerset Primary Teachers have been funded by Teaching Schools to develop exemplification planning for the new Computing Programme of Study based. This is based on eLIM’s Somerset Computing Model and progressions.

  • The short term planning (ST) is set out as sessions not lessons.  Some sessions will be part of other learning experiences across the curriculum.
  • The medium term planning (MT) gives you an overview for each term.
  • The complete coverage can be viewed here.
  • Grids for mixed age planning are here.
